About
Building practical interventions for complex challenges.
Grace Berman, LCSW
I'm a licensed clinical social worker focused on developing and implementing evidence-based programs in educational settings. My work centers on making therapeutic interventions accessible to students, educators, and communities through structured curricula, training programs, and policy advocacy.
Over the past decade, I've collaborated with school districts, counseling departments, and educational organizations to translate clinical approaches into classroom-ready resources. This includes co-developing DBT curricula, training hundreds of educators, and advocating for ethical AI implementation in schools.
My approach emphasizes practical application, measurable outcomes, and sustainable implementation. I believe effective programs require ongoing support, clear guidelines, and adaptation to local contexts.
Professional Journey
Key milestones in program development and advocacy work.
Leading development of comprehensive trauma-informed framework in partnership with three pilot school districts. This work includes administrator training, classroom practice guidelines, and school-wide policy recommendations.
Published series examining ethical implications of AI in education, focusing on student privacy, algorithmic bias, and implementation guidelines. This work has informed policy discussions in multiple districts and contributed to emerging best practices.
Launched monthly professional development sessions for educators worldwide, covering trauma-informed practices, emotional regulation, and evidence-based classroom management. Over 200 educators have participated across 24 sessions.
Co-developed evidence-based curriculum integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy into middle and high school settings. Program reached over 3,200 students across 12 school districts, with comprehensive teacher training and student workbooks.
Provided direct clinical services in school settings, working with students, families, and school staff. This experience informed my later curriculum development work and emphasized the need for scalable interventions.
Obtained LCSW licensure and began specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed care, and school-based interventions. This foundation shaped my approach to program development and implementation.
