About Grace
Therapist, writer, and guide for families navigating the complex world of child development
Hi, I'm Grace
I'm a licensed clinical social worker specializing in child and adolescent therapy, with a particular focus on anxiety, family dynamics, and the developmental patterns that shape how kids grow into themselves.
For over a decade, I've worked with families in my private practice in New York, helping parents understand what's really happening beneath their children's behaviors, and helping kids develop the emotional tools they need to navigate an increasingly complex world.
But here's what I've learned: the insights that help families the most aren't the ones confined to the therapy room. The questions parents ask me, the patterns I see repeated across different families, the research that changes how I understand development, all of this deserves a wider conversation.
That's why I started this newsletter. Every month, I share what I'm learning, what I'm seeing in my practice, and what I wish more parents understood about how children's minds work. I write about anxiety and attachment, sibling dynamics and school refusal, the neuroscience of adolescence and the art of repair after conflict.
My approach is grounded in evidence but never academic, informed by theory but always practical. I believe parents are the experts on their own children, and my role is to offer frameworks, language, and tools that help them trust their instincts and understand their kids more deeply.
When I'm not working with families or writing, you'll find me reading everything I can about developmental psychology, having long conversations with colleagues about the cases that puzzle us, and trying to apply my own insights to parenting my two kids (with mixed but humbling results).
