I became a therapist because I wanted to understand people. Not in a detached, clinical way, but in the way you understand someone when they let you into their inner world and trust you with what's really going on.

I've spent the last decade working with families, teens, and young adults in New York City. I've sat with parents who are terrified they're failing their kids. I've worked with teenagers who feel like they're drowning under pressure. I've helped young adults figure out who they are when the script they were handed stops making sense.

The work never gets old because every person is different. But I've also noticed patterns. The same struggles show up again and again, just wearing different clothes. Anxiety that looks like perfectionism. Depression that shows up as anger. Boundaries that collapse because guilt feels safer than conflict.

How I Work

I'm direct, but not harsh. I'll challenge you when you need it, but I won't push you where you're not ready to go. I believe therapy works best when it's a partnership, not a performance. You're not here to impress me or get it right. You're here to figure things out, and I'm here to help you do that.

I don't have all the answers. What I do have is training, experience, and a genuine belief that most people already know more than they think they do. My job is to help you access that, to make space for the hard stuff, and to offer tools that actually work.

What I Believe

I believe most people are doing the best they can with what they have. I believe parenting is harder than it's ever been, and we're all making it up as we go. I believe anxiety and depression aren't signs of weakness, they're signals. I believe therapy isn't about fixing what's broken, it's about building what's possible.

I also believe we spend too much time trying to feel better and not enough time understanding why we feel the way we do. The goal isn't to eliminate discomfort. The goal is to learn how to move through it.

Outside of Therapy

I live in Brooklyn with my partner and our dog. I read too much, think too much, and write because it helps me make sense of what I'm learning. I'm a runner, a mediocre cook, and someone who believes coffee should be taken seriously.

I started writing publicly because I wanted to share what I was seeing in my practice. So much of what people struggle with in private is universal, but we treat it like it's shameful. I write to normalize the hard stuff and to offer a different way of thinking about it.

Training & Credentials

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems work.

I've worked in schools, clinics, and private practice. I've led parent workshops, supervised graduate students, and presented at conferences. But the work I'm most proud of is the work I do one-on-one, sitting across from someone and helping them figure out what comes next.
