About Grace

I'm a licensed therapist in New York, and I write a monthly newsletter about the real work of parenting.

I've been in practice for over a decade, working with children, adolescents, and families. Most of my clinical work focuses on anxiety, emotional regulation, family dynamics, and the developmental challenges that show up between ages 5 and 15.

I started this newsletter in 2022 because I kept seeing the same gap: parents wanted real help, but most parenting advice was either too theoretical, too simplistic, or designed to sell a course. I wanted a space to share what I actually see in practice, in a format that respects your intelligence and your time.

What I write about

Each month, I pick one topic and go deep. Recent issues have covered:

I don't do tips or hacks. I focus on understanding what's happening developmentally and emotionally, so you can think more clearly about hard situations. The goal is not to make you feel better or worse. The goal is to help you see more.

Who this is for

This newsletter is for parents navigating real challenges with their kids, and for clinicians who want grounded, practical perspectives they can use in their work. I assume you're thoughtful, doing your best, and interested in nuance over easy answers.

If you want cheerleading or step-by-step programs, this probably isn't the right fit. If you want to think more carefully about what's happening with your kid and why certain approaches work or don't, you're in the right place.

A few things to know

This newsletter is educational. It's not therapy, and it's not a substitute for professional support. I change identifying details in all examples to protect client privacy, but the emotional and developmental truths stay intact.

I send one issue per month, on the first Monday. I don't sell courses, and I don't use AI to write. It's just me, a keyboard, and whatever topic has been sitting with me that month.

If you have questions about the newsletter, you can reply to any issue. I read everything, though I can't always respond individually.
