Background

I work at the intersection of clinical practice, education, and innovation. My focus is helping families navigate the challenges of teen mental health and equipping professionals with frameworks that translate evidence into practice.

I've spent 15 years working directly with adolescents and families in crisis, in therapy, and in schools. That work taught me what actually helps when teens are struggling and what doesn't. It also showed me the gaps in how we train professionals and support families through these challenges.

Approach

I believe in evidence-based practice that's also pragmatic and humane. The research matters, but so does meeting people where they are. Families need practical guidance, not jargon. Professionals need frameworks they can actually implement, not theoretical ideals.

I'm particularly focused on two areas right now:

First, helping families navigate teen mental health. Too many parents feel lost when their teen is struggling. They don't know if what they're seeing is normal development or something more serious. They don't know how to talk about it without making things worse. They don't know how to find good help or what to do when their teen refuses it. These resources address those questions directly.

Second, helping professionals think critically about AI and emerging technologies. Mental health tech is moving fast, and we need frameworks to evaluate these tools responsibly. Not all innovation is progress. We need standards, ethics, and healthy skepticism alongside openness to genuinely helpful tools.
